Friendship Spans School, Workplaces And Cubicles

By Edward Cardenas

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - Schooling, work and even tattoos.

Through all these life events, and more, the friendship between Lisa Haase and Nikki Boahbedason which started in kindergarten has remained strong for more than three decades.

"We were kindergarten best friends, and we have been best friends all these years," said Haase, of Novi. "Everybody has good days and bad days. We have way more good days. We just click."

The two met as students and remained close through their schooling. They worked worked together at Vladimir's Banquet Center in Farmington Hills and the former Westland Drugs, and even attended the same college for some time.

They even got tattoos together at 21. Both chose to put the tattoo on the inside of their left ankle, a sun for Boahbedsaon and a flower for Hasse.

And after a short time apart, the two began working together when Boahbedason told Hasse her company had an opening.

Hasse got the job, and now they are both administrative assistants at AT&T in Southfield - working side-by-side.

"We are pretty much interchangeable. That's why they call us Nikki and Lisa," said Boahbedason, of Farmington, who added they can be goofy or serious. "We understand each other."
