Streets Flooded In St. Clair Shores Following Intense Storms

ST. CLAIR SHORES (WWJ) -- Reports have come in that their has been major street flooding on the south end of St. Clair Shores after a rain storm on Monday night.

According to police, many streets south of Ten Mile Road are still water-covered and flooded after about three inches of rain fell within an hour. Flooding has been reported on Harper near Jefferson and on many side streets.

Police added that the city's department of public works is working to address the flooding and in the meantime, if you encounter a flooded street, do not attempt to drive through it. Police are also working to help with many stranded vehicles on some streets.
