FORD FIELD (CBS DETROIT) - The Detroit Lions announced that safety James Ihedigbo, linebacker Kyle Van Noy and wide receiver TJ Jones are inactive for Friday night's preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ihedigbo is resting, Jones is still on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, and Van Noy is out with an abdominal injury.

Both Ihedigbo and Van Noy will likely start games for the Lions this season. Detroit brought in Ihedigbo to be a starter, and Van Noy is expected to at least challenge for a starting spot.

Jones, the team's sixth-round draft pick this year, was already a long shot to make the team because of Detroit's depth at wide receiver, and his future with the Lions has become even less certain because of the shoulder injury that has kept him out of camp.

Wide receiver Calvin Johnson and defensive end Ziggy Ansah are still expected to see action Friday. Johnson had offseason surgery on his finger and shoulder and missed the first two preseason games as a healthy scratch. Ansah missed those games also, recovering from offseason surgery on his shoulder, and was just recently removed from the PUP list.
