Donate a Coat at the Boating & Outdoor Festival

The boats are back! This year, when you attend the 5th annual Boating & Outdoor Festival, CBS 62 invites you to donate a new or gently worn coat to benefit Grace Centers of Hope.

The "Boats for Coats" donation program will be running throughout the festival weekend, September 12th - 14th. Bring your coat of any style or size to the Boating & Outdoor Festival at the Lake St. Clair Metropark and drop it off in one of the donation barrels on-hand at the Boat Show entrance.

Your donation will help warm the lives of men, women, and children in need this winter!

Lake St. Clair Metropark is located at:
31300 Metro Parkway
Harrison Township, MI 48045

Weekend Show Hours are:
Friday, 12p-7:30p
Saturday, 11a-7:30p
Sunday 11a-6p

The 5th Annual Boating & Outdoor Festival offers something for everyone - from walkable exhibits for outdoor enthusiasts to live music. For full event details and schedule, click here. Plus, this year, check out the all-new "Bark Park" on Saturday the 13th from 11am - 7:30pm and Sunday the 14th from 11am - 6pm. The Bark Park features entertainment by the Rock 'n Roll K9's, adoptions, education, and shopping. Dogs can also run free or cool off in the Puppy Play Area.

Bring your family and furry friends - along with your coat donation - to the Boating & Outdoor Festival this weekend and help support the Grace Centers of Hope.

Giving hope to the helpless since 1942, Grace Centers of Hope is Oakland County's oldest and largest service provider for the homeless. Today, Grace Centers of Hope is considered one of the leading faith-based organizations in Southeastern Michigan, daily confronting issues of homelessness, addiction, poverty, abuse and spiritual emptiness. On any given night, Grace Centers of Hope provides transitional and emergency shelter to 150-200 men, women, and children, in addition to serving over 150,00 meals each year. Grace's $5.7 million yearly budge is maintained solely though corporate and private donors, exclusive of any government assistance.
