ROMULUS (WWJ) - A young fugitive wanted in connection with a Romulus murder has turned himself in to police.

LeAndre Childs, 18, walked in to Romulus police headquarters Thursday afternoon and surrendered without incident, according to police.

He had been on the run, and was considered armed and dangerous, since the deadly shooting of a 25-year old man on Aug. 25 at around 7 p.m.  in the 15000 block of Harrison Street near Eureka Road.

Investigators believe an earlier fight between the two led to the shooting.  No further details were released.

Childs was scheduled to be arraigned in 34th District court on Friday.
