CBS DETROIT – Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh announced he has signed on with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports.
Suh will now be jointly represented by Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and Roc Nation Sports, the latter organization a partnership between Roc Nation and CAA.
Agent Jimmy Sexton of CAA had been working with the Lions on negotiating a contract extension for Suh before the Lions tabled such discussions prior to the start of the season, and Sexton will continue to represent Suh in contract talks.
Suh signed on with Sexton – who represents Nick Saban, Jimbo Fisher and Gus Malzahn and whom Sports Illustrated called “college football’s most powerful agent” – in March after parting ways with Relativity Sports.
Roc Nation Sports has signed numerous big-time athletes, including Robinson Cano, Kevin Durant, Victor Cruz, C.C. Sabathia and Hakeem Nicks.
