DETROIT (WWJ) — Police came across a bizarre discovery on Detroit’s west side late on Monday afternoon,

Police told WWJ that human bones were found in a wooded area at W. Jefferson Ave. near St. Anne in Detroit.

Detroit Police say they were informed of the remains by a homeless person. The discovery is about a block east of the Ambassador Bridge.

The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office is working to identify the remains, which appear to have been at the scene for quite some time.
