DETROIT (WWJ) – It’s going to be a wet and windy Tuesday, with thunderstorms and heavy rain expected across southeast Michigan.
CBS 62 Chief Meteorologist Jim Madaus said showers will turn into thunderstorms around mid-morning.READ MORE: Chief Search: Detroit Board Of Police Commissioners Agree To Find Candidates
“Those storms will develop after the lunch hour and through the afternoon. Along with the rain, we’ll see wind gusts up to 20 miles per hour,” Madaus said, adding that temperatures are expected to approach the 70 degree mark.
Severe weather isn’t expected but heavy rain is possible at times. Some areas are expected to see around one or two inches of rain before showers taper off throughout the evening.
“We’ll see clearing as we move into Wednesday with mild temperatures once again,” Madaus said.
