AT&T Offers New Data And Calling Plan For International Travelers

SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) - International travelers have a new option to stay connected through a new package from AT&T.

The AT&T Passport offers unlimited international messaging, Wi-Fi and discount calling in one package in over 150 countries. Additionally, when customers use the AT&T Passport app, they can have unlimited Wi-Fi access at participating hotspots in countries  including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Japan and Mexico.

According to company, the package is "designed for international travel from one to 30 days."

One time charges range from $30 to $120, and can be added to domestic postpaid plan. Additionally, the package is valid for 30 days and expire automatically.

AT&T customers who travel abroad more frequently can utilize the AT&T Global package which includes the same services, allotments and rates as Passport packages with a monthly charge, according to the company.

Data-only Passport and Global packages are also available for tablets, laptops and other data-only devices.
