Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

M-10:

In Wayne County, south M-10 from I-75 to Griswold will be closed from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday for marathon. Detour is south M-10 to Grand River for downtown access. Also closed will be ramps from south M-10 to Bagley and Larned with detour to east Grand River. And south M-10 ramps to Howard and West Jefferson with detour to south I-75 to Trumbull.

I-75:

In Wayne County, north I-75 ramp to the Ambassador Bridge will be closed from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday for marathon. Detour is north I-75 to north Rosa Parks to south I-75 to Ambassador Bridge.

In Wayne County, north and south I-75 ramps to south M-10 will be closed from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday for marathon. Detour is I-75 to Grand River for downtown access.

In Wayne County, south I-75 near Goddard will have lane closures from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road repair.

Jefferson Ave:

In Wayne County, east Jefferson Avenue from Beaubien to St. Antoine will be closed from 2 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, and 3 right lanes closed between Randolph and Beaubien for marathon.

In Wayne County, east Jefferson from Griswold to Randolph will be closed from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday for marathon.

M-85: (Fort Street)

In Wayne County, north and south M-85 will be closed from 3rd St to Griswold St from 6 a.m. Saturday to 6 p.m. Sunday for marathon.

In Wayne County, north and south M-85 will be closed from Clark St to 6th St from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday for marathon.

In Wayne County, north and south M-85 will be closed from 6th St to 3rd St from 2 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday for marathon.

M-12: (Michigan Ave)

In Wayne County, east and west US-12 between Griswold St and Rosa Parks Blvd will be closed from 4 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday for marathon.

I-375:

In Wayne County, south I-375 ramp to Larned and east Jefferson is closed from 4 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sunday for marathon.

I-96:

In Wayne County, east I-96 from Middle Belt to Beech Daly will have the two right lanes closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday when it will become just one right lane until 5 a.m. Monday for concrete sealing. The exit ramp to Inkster and entrance ramps from Inkster and Middle Belt will be closed.

In Wayne County, west I-96 from Beech Daly to Inkster will have the two right lanes closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday when it will become just one right lane until 5 a.m. Monday for concrete sealing. The exit ramp to Inkster and entrance ramps from Inkster and Beech Daly will be closed.

I-275:

In Wayne County, north and south I-275 between Ford Road and 5 Mile Road will have two right lanes closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work. Ramps from 6 Mile to south I-275 will be closed along with east Ford Road to north I-275 and Ann Arbor Road to south I-275.

I-696:

In Oakland County, east and west I-696 ramps to and from Greenfield will be closed 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday for maintenance. Ramp from Coolidge to west I-696 will also be closed.

I-94:

In Macomb County, east I-94 from 9 Mile to 11 Mile roads will have moving lane closures 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for maintenance.

M-14:

In Wayne County, west M-14 from I-275 to Sheldon Road will have double lane closures from 8 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday for road work.

M-59:

In Oakland County, east and west M-59 between Elizabeth Lake Road and M-1 (Woodward) will have one lane closed from 4 a.m. Saturday to 9 p.m. Sunday for road work.

M-29:

In St. Clair County, north and south M-29 between Palms Road to Nook Road will have one lane closed from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday for road work.

Beginning next week:

I-75:

In Oakland County, north I-75 from Rochester to Square Lake roads will have nightly double lane closures 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Saturday for road work.

In Oakland County, south I-75 from Square Lake to Big Beaver roads will have nightly double lane closures 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Saturday for road work.

M-24:

In Oakland County, south M-24 from Harriett St to Clarkston Rd will have one lane closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily from Monday to Friday Oct. 31.
