Traffic Alert: Weekend Road Work

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's the weekend again which means it's time for construction crews to hit the roads.

The following road work projects have been announced by MDOT. As always, some of this work may be postponed due to weather.

I-75: **FULL CLOSURE**

In Wayne County, north and south I-75 between M-10 and I-375 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work on M-1. Detour is north I-75 to west I-96 to east I-94 back to north I-75; or south I-75 to west I-94 to east I-96 back to south I-75.

In Wayne County, north I-75 to and from Mack Avenue to I-94 will have multiple lane closures from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, north I-75 ramp to M-3 Gratiot will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, north and south I-75 ramps to Grand River Avenue will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, Ambassador Bridge ramp and Clark Street ramps to north I-75/M-10 will be closed for road work. Also, the Rosa Parks Blvd ramp to north I-75.

In Wayne County, north I-75 local lane ramp to north I-75 at Rosa Parks Blvd will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, north I-75 ramp to south I-375 ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, south I-75 (Chrysler) ramp to south I-75 (Fisher) ramp will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

In Wayne County, south I-75 at Goddard will have multiple lane closures from 8 a.m. Thursday to 8 a.m. Monday for concrete repairs.

In Wayne County, north I-75 at Goddard Road will have two lanes closed from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday for bridge inspection.

In Wayne County, north I-75 from Eureka to Allen roads will have double lane closures daily from 9 a.m. Sunday to 3 p.m. Saturday for bridge inspection.

I-96:

In Wayne County, east I-96 ramp to north I-75 will be closed from 7 p.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In Wayne County, east I-96 between Middle belt and Inkster Road will have two right lanes closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday and right lane closed until 5 a.m. Monday for maintenance. Ramps to and from Beech Daly and Inkster will be closed. Ramp from Middle Belt to east I-96 will be closed.

In Wayne County, west I-96 between Beech Daly and Inkster roads will have two lanes closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday and then one lane closed until 5 a.m. Monday for maintenance work. Ramps will be closed to and from Beech Daly and Inkster.

In Wayne County, west I-96 at Newburgh will have right lane closed from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

M-10:

In Wayne County, north and south M-10 ramps to north I-75 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday for road work.

M-59:

In Oakland County, east and west M-59 between Elizabeth Lake Road and M-1 north (Woodward) will have single lane closures from 4 a.m. Saturday to 9 p.m. Sunday.

M-19:

In Macomb County, north and south M-19 (Main Street) will be closed between Madison St and Division Road from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday for parade.

M-29:

In St. Clair County, north and south M-29 between Palms and Nook roads will have one lane closed from 7 a.m. Saturday to 7 p.m. Sunday for.

Beginning next week:

I-75:

In Oakland County, south I-75 from Square Lake to Big Beaver roads will have double lane closures nightly from 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Friday for road work.

In Wayne County, north I-75 from Schaefer to Springwells will have right lane closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday for bridge work. And south I-75 from Springwells to Schaefer will have right lane closed from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday for bridge work.

In Wayne County, north and south I-75 between M-10 and I-375 will have one lane closed from 5 a.m. Monday through March for bridge work.
