Police Searching For Suspect In Connection With Family Dollar Store Robbery

DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are asking for help finding a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Family Dollar store in Detroit.

Authorities say  the suspect is believed to be a man in his 20s, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

On Saturday, November 1, police responded to a call that a robbery had occurred at the store located on East State Fair.

The store manager, 60, described the suspect as a black man wearing black pants, a black zip up hooded coat, a black ski mask, black gloves, who repeatedly assaulted him and robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect fled on foot northbound from the store through an alley. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
