GEORGETOWN TOWNSHIP (WWJ) — A man is dead after a tree fell on top of him in Ottawa County’s Georgetown Township on Saturday.

Georgetown firefighters were dispatched to the scene around 5 p.m. Saturday evening. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, which was near a nature trail, according to Ottawa County Dispatch.

Firefighters are were calling for a chainsaw to remove another tree that blocked the roadway leading to the area where the man was crushed.
