Flint Officials Investigate Fire At Apartment Building

FLINT (AP) - Fire investigators are looking into the cause of a blaze that forced residents from a Flint apartment building.

The Flint Journal reports Saturday that the fire started at one of the buildings in the Park West Apartments complex late Friday night.

Fire Chief David Cox Jr. says an arson investigator was called in. The building that caught fire had six occupied apartments. Some residents were evacuated by firefighters.

A 70-year-old man suffered a broken pelvis when he hit the ground after trying to jump to a second-floor balcony from his third-floor apartment.
