New Surveillance Video Shows Aftermath Of Shooting That Killed Grosse Pointe Teen, Injured 3 Others [VIDEO]

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) A surveillance video captured by a local business near the scene where a Grosse Pointe Farms teen was shot and killed and three of her pals injured could shed new light on the incident.

The video from Dec. 22 shows flashes of light, suspected as gunfire, then depicts the bullet-riddled car carrying the injured teens speeding by on the way to the hospital. Bar patrons gape as the car races by.

Witnesses told local media they heard a loud succession of shots fired before the car raced down the street; an AK-47 is suspected, more than 30 shots were reportedly fired.

A $100,000 reward is being offered for information that solves the fatal shooting of  Paige Stalker, 16. The reward was announced last week by police and the head of the Detroit Crime Commission, a private agency that serves as a liaison between the public and law enforcement.

Commissioner director Andy Arena says the money is coming from families that know the victims. They don't want to be identified. Arena, a former FBI agent, says it's one of the largest rewards he's seen.

Three others — a 16-year-old boy, a 15-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl — suffered gunshot wounds. A 15-year-old girl who was uninjured in the gunfire jumped into the driver's seat and drove her friends to a nearby hospital.

Police are searching for the gunman, described as a black male about 6-feet tall, wearing a bulletproof vest and army fatigues. Initially investigated by police as a drug deal gone bad, with the teens allegedly targeted and known to their assailant, officers later said it looked like a robbery gone wrong.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police at 313-596-2200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
