Police Warning Public Of Thieves Targeting Unlocked Garages

CANTON (WWJ) - Police in Canton are putting residents on notice about a current crime trend: thieves who target unlocked garages.

Police say that over the past two months -- crooks have stolen items such as snow blowers, leaf blowers, power tools and generators -- striking at all hours of the day and night.

Officers have been patrolling the neighborhoods in marked and unmarked vehicles -- urging residents to close and lock their garage doors.
