Detroit Tigers fans and baseball fans alike are all waiting to see where free agent pitcher Max Scherzer will land.

If you believe what Tigers GM Dave Dombrowski has to say about the matter then you don't think he will be back in the Olde English D next season.

A report from the New York Post had an interesting quote from Dombrowski. When asked if he expected Scherzer to be a Tiger next season he said, ""I would say no, probably not."

These comments came Thursday during the Major League Baseball owners' meetings.

Dombrowski was also asked if he was surprised Max was still available.

"I can't say I'm surprised or not," he reportedly said. "He's a good pitcher. Scott has signed a lot of guys late. That has happened. So I can't say I'm completely shocked."

Scherzer turned down a six-year $144 million deal last spring.
