Twitter Reacts Negatively To Cardale Jones Staying At Ohio State

One of the stranger things I have ever experienced in my 10 years in sports radio happened Thursday afternoon.

Ohio State redshirt sophomore Cardale Jones held a press conference to announce that he would be staying at the Ohio State University.

A kid chose to stay in school and get his education instead of entering the NFL Draft, and that's a bad thing?

People are hating on this kid on Twitter left and right for making what in my opinion is the correct choice.

Jones played three meaningful games for Ohio State this season, and granted they were Ohio State's biggest games of the season, but how far would that get him in the NFL?

Against Wisconsin in the Big Ten Title Game, Jones went 12-17, throwing for 257 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Versus Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, he went 18-35 for 243 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

To finish up the season, he performed on the biggest stage, the National Title game. Jones went 16-23 for 242 yards and once again got a touchdown and an interception.

I understand why people think that he should have gone pro because "his stock would have never been higher." My other favorite line is: "He won't even start for Ohio State next season."

If he couldn't start for Ohio State next season, why do people think he would make it in the NFL? I think the kid made the right move and we should applaud this young man for making that choice.

People on Twitter felt differently about it.

Jones had the famous tweet saying, "We ain't come to play school, classes are pointless."

Do you think he made the right choice?
