Ghostbusters Reboot Has All Female Cast

Some movies shouldn't have sequels. Some movies should never be remade. "Land of the Lost' with Will Ferrell is a great example.

Wednesday morning, I learned what I thought would be amazing news. "Ghostbusters" is being remade and a release date was set. The movie is set to hit theaters July 22, 2016. It's a day before my birthday, so it's perfect.

I just have a huge problem with the reboot: It doesn't include any of the original cast! What? How can you do "Ghostbusters" without any of the people who created the roles so masterfully?

As a matter of fact, the entire cast is now made up of women.

I actually like all of the actresses  who star in the flick, including Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.

Director Paul Feig tweeted out the cast.

It just doesn't make much sense to me. Ego Spengler (Harold Ramis) passed away in 2014 so I knew that any chance of getting the band back together wouldn't happen.

But seriously Feig you just need to leave the Ghostbusters franchise alone in my opinion. It's my favorite movie. I can recite almost every word from both movies.

I also understand that Bill Murray (Peter Venkman) fully supports the all-female cast, but there is no way it can be anywhere close to the originals.

I used to support Feig since we both graduated from Chippewa Valley High School. I also admit I will see the movie since I am such a huge "Ghostbusters" fan, but it still doesn't make me happy.

The rest of my Wednesday has been ruined.
