With the Super Bowl right around the corner, the big game is generating a ton of attention from coast to coast. The Lions, of course, are not part of the equation, but it turns out Detroit’s fans have plenty to say about their team — and much of it isn’t fit for polite company.

Here comes researchers from Proofpoint Nexgate, which analyzed the social media presence of the 12 NFL playoff contenders to find out whose fans are the most active.

How did they do this? We’re not exactly sure, but they’re confident research revealed “the most profane and the most targeted” teams.

And the results reveal:

The Most Active 2015 NFL playoff team fans, according to Proofpoint research include:

1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Green Bay Packers
3. New England Patriots
4. Baltimore Ravens
5. Pittsburgh Steelers

And the most profane 2015 NFL playoff team fans include:

1. Pittsburgh Steelers
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. New England Patriots
4. Detroit Lions
5. Cincinnati Bengals

The most polite 2015 NFL playoff team fans, according to Proofpoint, include:

So Detroit fans made the most profane list — but not the polite list? What? Oh yeah, that sounds about right.
