Missing Woman Last Seen Leaving Detroit Casino Found Dead

SCIO TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Authorities in Washtenaw County are looking for tips in the case of a missing Dexter woman was found dead in her car after she was last spotted leaving a Detroit casino.

Washtenaw County Sheriff's investigators were able to determine that Melissa Mullins, 60, left MGM Grand Detroit at around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 — but she never made it home.

On Monday, at around 1 p.m., a family member found her unresponsive in her car in a shopping center parking lot on Jackson Road near Ann Arbor.  EMS was called and Mullins was pronounced dead at the scene.

Where she'd been between the time left MGM and when she was found in the parking lot, Sheriff's officials say, is still unknown.

It's unclear how Mullins died but investigators say there were no visible signs of foul play.
