CBS DETROIT – Before highly rated linebacker Roquan Smith announced his college choice Wednesday, many suspected it would not be the University of Michigan.

At the signing day ceremony, Smith’s potential school selections were listed out in front of him. One sign read, “Michigan University Wolverines.”

It is not known who created the signs.

Smith selected UCLA. Another top-level recruit, tight end Chris Clark, also chose UCLA over Michigan on Wednesday.
