CBS DETROIT – Before highly rated linebacker Roquan Smith announced his college choice Wednesday, many suspected it would not be the University of Michigan.

Smith selected UCLA. Another top-level recruit, tight end Chris Clark, also chose UCLA over Michigan on Wednesday.
