From rock 'n' roll to dubstep to Detroit covering Detroit, we've got the list you need to stay fresh on what's happening in the Detroit music scene this weekend.
The Paper Sound & Friends
Friday, February 20th / 8:30pm / Hatchy's, Utica, MI
Cool dudes and cool tunes is the catch line for this Detroit indie-rock show. The Paper Sound will take the stage that night with folk-y indie punk-rock band Andy and the Pandy's at Hatchy's in Utica. Alex Kostka and Marion will also be performing. TART, the new 2-piece outfit from Adam Michael Lee Padden and Zee Bricker, is mixing grime with glam with their originally beautiful new wave, sinister power-pop. Cupid Bass Valentines Ball

Here to celebrate the month of love, The Works will be hosting a night of lights and dubstep, and they're encouraging all the men to wear their top hats and ladies to wear their ballroom dresses – keeping it classy! Hip In Detroit's 3rd Year Anniversary Bash

The gals at Hip In Detroit will be celebrating their 3-year anniversary this weekend with their annual Anniversary Bash. Detroit Proud Pick of the Week: DETROIT x DETROIT V

Back for their fifth year in a row, DETROIT x DETROIT will be taking over the Magic Stick with 15 local Detroit bands and artists, with each playing as another Detroit artist or band! Each act will perform 3 songs from the Detroit artist or band of their choice to prove, once again, why Detroit's music scene is UNLIKE any other! Tickets are $7 for 21+ and $9 for under 21.
