It's a huge day for Detroit rapper Big Sean.

His third studio album, 'Dark Sky Paradise,' hit stores at midnight, and I had a chance to catch up with him in the studio again.

He was accompanied by his mother, managers, and friends, on what has been a day full of interviews around the country on a private jet.

As big of a day as it is for Big Sean, he couldn't stop talking about the other people in his life. He's selfless and one of the first things he talked about was how big of a day it is for the city of Detroit; because of both his and Kid Rock's album release. He continued to praise those who have helped him along the way like his grandmother.

He talked about how emotional it was making this album:

"I broke down crying yesterday when it came out. I just thought about it; I have my grandma's voice, who passed away, on the same song as Kanye West and John Legend. That was a real touching thing for me. She deserves it."

Of course, I also had to ask him about Detroit sports.

Sean did the player introductions at the Michigan vs Ohio State game on Sunday and really enjoyed himself. He said, "It was cool, I got to go to the locker room beforehand and talk to them. They went out there and killed it. They did an amazing job against Ohio State. It was a game they could've easily lost. They dominated like true Wolverines."

I also learned that he shares a same opinion as most Detroit fans regarding the Lions playoff loss in Dallas.

"It was a tough loss in Dallas man. That call... that game... I feel like Detroit people will just forever be mad at those calls made in Dallas," he said.

Finally, I wanted to ask him about Eminem again. Last time we spoke, he confirmed a collaboration with him, which turned out to be Detroit vs Everybody. I figured it would be a good idea to take a shot at asking him if anything else is in the works.

"We haven't worked on anything else yet. But the relationship is there. He keeps his door open to me, I keep my door open to him. He was probably the reason I wanted to be a rapper like that. Shout out to Eminem. It was a dream come true to be on a song with him," said Sean.

Big Sean continues to represent the city of Detroit well. One of the last things he told me, sums it all up best:

"I'm hungry man, I'm focused and I'm ready to go. Go Tigers, Go Pistons, Go Red Wings. Can't wait for the Lions to come back!"

Big Sean's album, Dark Sky Paradise, is available on iTunes and in-store now.
