SOUTHFIELD (CBS Detroit) – Apple has sent out invitations to an undisclosed event March 9 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco.

The invitation doesn’t say what will be announced at the event, except for the statement “Spring forward.”

Timing for the event would coincide with Apple CEO Tim Cook’s announced projected “early 2015” release date for the Apple Watch, which he made in September when the wearable was announced.

Multiple reports state the company will launch the Apple Watch in April, with prices starting at $349. The device will give users access to services and information including calendar, maps, music, notifications, Apple Pay along with monitoring physical activity.

This is the first new product release for Apple since the iPad in 2010.
