Quicken Loans Named To FORTUNE Magazine's 'Best Companies To Work For' For 12th Straight Year

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - FORTUNE Magazine named Quicken Loans one of the 12 best places to work in America, marking the 12th straight year the Detroit-based company has been ranked in the top third of the workplace study.

Quicken is also the highest ranked Michigan-based company on the list.

"I couldn't be more proud of our entire brain force," said Quicken Loans Chief Executive Officer Bill Emerson in a release. "Like business gladiators, they come to the office every day with the mission of not only working in our business but also working on our business."

Quicken Loans has more than 12,000 employees and has closed $140 billion in home loan volume over the past two years becoming the second largest retail mortgage lender and largest FHA and VA mortgage provider in the country, the company stated.

This is the latest award for Quicken, which was named highest in customer satisfaction among all home loan lenders in America by J.D. Power for the fifth consecutive year in 2014 in addition to being named highest in customer satisfaction among all mortgage servicers in 2014 – the online home lender's first year of eligibility.

"Love your team members. Love your clients and customers. Just do those two things and your business will be well on its way to doing great things," said Quicken Loans Founder and Chairman Dan Gilbert in a release.

FORTUNE's survey found 98 percent of Quicken Loans team members said they feel good about how the company gives back to the community and 96 percent of team members say they are proud to work at the company.

Quicken is currently looking to fill 150 full-time positions in technology, 300 in mortgage operations and 1,000 summer internships.
