Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo is a top 5 college coach in the nation.

Whether you are or are not, a fan of Izzo, you have to respect the man. Izzo has led the Spartans to six Final Fours, eight Elite Eights, 13 Sweet Sixteens and one National Title.

CBS Sports released a video of Izzo’s pregame speech to his team before the Virginia game.

“You live for these games, guys. It’s why you coach, you live for these games. I think of my three seniors this morning when I got up. I think of where BJ (Branden Dawson) and Trav (Travis Trice), where you were, Keenan (Keenan Wetzel), where you are. To think that you played on an aircraft carrier as freshmen, you played in Germany as a sophomore, you played to go to a Final Four as a junior.

“You’ve played on some of the biggest, most unique stages that the game of basketball has to offer. It’s time to take one more step guys. You deserve to take one more step, but it’s going to take every bit of focus, communication and concentration you have. Nothing more than should be expected. As you move up in this tournament, that’s what matters. Focus, communication, attention to detail. All the little things are going to matter. Let’s go out there!”
