Shelby Township Issues Boil Water Advisory As Water Main Is Repaired
UPDATE 5:30PM: The boil water advisory that was issued Friday night now may be active until sometime Monday.
SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- Shelby Township residents will have to boil their water starting Friday night and into Saturday.
Starting at 11 p.m., crews will be repairing an air valve on a 96-inch water main. The township said that people who want to drink water should boil it first. The boil water alert will remain in place until water samples test clean.
The work may also lead to low water pressure in the Rochester and Rochester Hills area. Meantime, Plymouth's boil water advisory has been lifted.
