Macomb County Boil Water Advisory May Continue Into Monday
SHELBY TOWNSHIP (WWJ) -- A Macomb County area boil water advisory that was issued Friday night now may be active until sometime Monday.
Residents of Shelby and Washington Townships -- as well as Romeo -- must continue to boil water before drinking until samples test clean. Shelby Township police say the alert could last until Monday.
Starting at 11 p.m. Friday, crews began repairing an air valve on a 96-inch water main.
Authorities urge that there is no need for boiling water if you are planning to bathe, shower or clean. The earlier alert for Rochester and Rochester Hills has since been canceled.
