Michigan Man Racks Up Nearly $100k In Back Child Support, Pays Up After Arrest

DETROIT (WWJ) - It's taken years, but the state attorney general has tracked down a former Michigan man, who owed nearly $100,000 in child support.

Jesse Pace, 41, has been living in Wasilla, Alaska in a 4,600 square foot home, worth more than $500,000 according to Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.

Apparently Pace has taken residence in several other states along his journey; North Carolina, Florida, and Washington, he was arrested recently, and was to be extradited to Michigan to face charges until he paid the more than $95,000 in back child support and penalties that he owed for his daughter in Clare, Michigan since 1999.

Schuette says no matter who you are or where you live, you can't run from the responsibility to provide for your children.
