Police Investigating After Man Drowns In Troy Community Center Pool

TROY (WWJ) - Police in Troy responded to a call of a possible drowning at the Troy Community Center on Tuesday afternoon.

According to authorities attendants noticed a person  floating face down near the edge of the pool. The Life Guards responded and assisted the attendants in getting the subject out of the pool.

Troy police officers and paramedics arrived on the scene and continued with CPR. While continuing providing CPR, the 32-year-old man was taken to Royal Oak Beaumont Hospital and pronounced dead.

Identification has been withheld pending notification of family.

No further details were released. Authorities are investigating.
