DETROIT – The Detroit Tigers announced Thursday morning they have optioned the contract of left-handed reliever Ian Krol to Triple-A Toledo and have recalled the contract of right-handed reliever Alex Wilson from Triple-A Toledo.
Krol pitched two scoreless innings for Detroit in Wednesday’s blowout loss to the New York Yankees. In his previous outing, on Tuesday, Krol gave up two home runs in one-third of an inning. His ERA through six outings this season is 4.76.
Wilson has not yet pitched for Detroit. The Tigers acquired him this offseason from the Boston Red Sox. In 2014, Wilson had a 1.91 ERA over 18 appearances.
