It’s not everyday that you get to talk to the former heavyweight champion of the world Evander Holyfield.

Holyfield seemed to have the most hectic schedule at radio row, jumping from interview to interview and when he made his way over to our location I really just had one, burning question? Was Holyfield-Tyson bigger than Mayweather-Pacquiao?

“No” Holyfield said. “The money let you know that. Each generation is supposed to take it to the next level and it’s good to see that Mayweather and Pacquiao can have that much and it goes to show you that boxing is not dead.”

When I think of Holyfield I think of “Bite Fight” and I know I’m not the only one. How many times has the former champ been asked about Tyson biting both of his ears? “I get asked that a lot but it gives me an opportunity to tell people what forgiveness is all about. What would have been if I would have bit him back? I bet they probably would have done away with boxing.”

As for Saturdays fight, Holyfield will be sitting ringside and really doesn’t have a gut feeling for who will pull it out.
