Royal Oak Police Help Man Prank Girlfriend With Traffic Stop Marriage Proposal
A marriage proposal should be memorable, but this Clarkston woman will probably never forget or forgive her fiance for the few anxious moments he orchestrated. If you're wondering ... she said yes.
The guy recruited the help of the Royal Oak Police Department to plan a fake traffic stop as part of an elaborate marriage proposal. The ROPD officers pulled off a believably unsettling traffic stop, asking the driver and passenger out of the vehicle, one officer has the man put his hands on the truck, pats him down and they are both questioned. The looks of solemn concern on her face shows she has no idea what was about to happen.
The back story is significant for the couple and why he chose to make his proposal by traffic stop. The description of the video reads,
"On April 17, 2013, a young man was pulled over by a Royal Oak Police officer while on his first date with a young woman. Two years later to the day, he asked the ROPD for help with his marriage proposal to that very same young woman."
After asking a few questions about permits, contraband etc... one of the officers pulls a ring box out of his pocket and asks "Can you explain to me what this is?" It dawns on the woman what's happening, she smiles, turns to her boyfriend with a relieved sigh of relief and said, "You're such a d--k".
He gets down on one knee and she give him the nod.
Congratulations to the newly engaged mystery couple. Officials with the department asked the press not to publish their names.
