DETROIT (WWJ) - Police asking for the public's help in locating a 15-year-old girl who disappeared after telling her mom she "needed to get out of Detroit."

Police say Minque Wells was last seen by relatives on Sunday, April 26 in the 2400 block of Monterey, in a west side neighborhood just south of the Davison and Rosa Parks Avenue.

Crystal Wells, Minque's mother, told police her daughter called her on Tuesday, April 28 and said she needed to get out of Detroit and that she would be back on Wednesday evening -- but Minique hasn't been seen or heard from since.

Minque is described as a black female with a medium complexion, about 5'6" tall and 115 lbs. with brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing black jeans and a multi-color button down shirt.

She also has multiple tattoos: three Mickey Mouse heads on her right shoulder; shooting stars on her right wrist, "Loyalty" on her left thigh; "Love" on her right thigh; and a rose on the right side of her stomach.

Police say Minque may have been in the Toledo area, and could have traveled as far as West Virginia.

Anyone with information on Minque's whereabouts is urged to contact police at 313-267-4600.
