Turkey Trot To Run With New Title Sponsor Strategic Staffing Solutions

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - The 33rd Turkey Trot will welcome thousands of runners to Detroit before America's Thanksgiving Parade along with a new title sponsor.

Strategic Staffing Solutions, a $200-million-plus IT and business services company based in Detroit, is the new title sponsor of the nation's largest run on Thanksgiving morning.

"We are proud to be a part of this iconic and fun family event," said Cindy Pasky, president and CEO, Strategic Staffing Solutions. "As a company dedicated to bringing the community together, it is thrilling to see a record number of runners participate and enjoy this Detroit event each year."

The event, which features a 10K and 5K, furn, will now be called The 33rd Annual Strategic Staffing Solutions Turkey Trot. A new logo for the event has also been released:

S3 has long-time supporter of The Parade Company, serving as the title sponsor of the 5k run known as the Strategic Staffing Solutions Stuffing Strut since in 2012. The following year, S3 unveiled its "Disco Dogs & Cool Cats" parade float.

"This is a wonderful new chapter in Turkey Trot history, a race that has become a beloved tradition for Detroiters on Thanksgiving morning."

Registration for the 33rd Annual Strategic Staffing Solutions Turkey Trot will open at 10am on Monday, June 1, at www.theparade.org.

"For (Cindy Pasky) to back us, and support the parade and support the Turkey Trot, is going to be really helpful for us," said Doug Kurtis, race director, who added that the Detroit Mounted Police and Michigan Humane Society are new charity beneficiaries of the race.
