DETROIT (AP) — Detroit police say four officers and a 16-year-old car break-in suspect were injured when a drunken truck driver struck a stopped squad car.

Police tell The Detroit News that the crash happened about 11 p.m. Saturday.

WDIV-TV says officers were patrolling an area where there have been several recent car break-ins.

Police say a 54-year-old man driving a truck struck a stopped patrol car. They say two officers in the car, two standing outside and the teen suspect sitting in the back of the squad car all were taken to hospitals for treatment.

Police say the truck’s driver is in custody. They say he was uninjured.
