Dad Killed, 9-Year-Old Son Shot While In Wendy's Drive-Thru In Detroit

DETROIT (WWJ) - A father was shot and killed and his son injured following an overnight shooting in a Wendy's drive-thru line.

Detroit police say a 9-year-old boy and his 28-year-old dad were approached by two people who announced a hold up. The father then defended himself by showing a gun.

Authorities say the father was shot multiple times, while the son was shot in his right thumb. He is in stable condition.

Anyone with information on the suspects - who also stole money, a Rolex watch - is asked to call police.
