2 Michigan Men Arrested With Big Stash Of LSD, Mushrooms, Molly At Music Festival

DOVER, Del. (AP/WWJ) - Police in Delaware say two Michigan men were arrested with hundreds of doses of LSD, hallucinogenic mushrooms and the drug known as bath salts at the Firefly Music Festival campground.

Dover police said Monday that the men were arrested Friday after officers made an undercover purchase of a substance the men called MDMA or Molly.

Police say it tested positive for mephedrone, or bath salts.

After the arrest, police say officers discovered that the men had 44.1 grams of mephedrone, 58.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 225 doses of LSD and 30.5 grams of marijuana. Officers also seized nearly $3,400.

Police charged 31-year-old Daniel Wood of Jackson, Michigan, and 39-year-old Dion McPherson of Ann Arbor, Michigan, with several drug possession counts and second-degree conspiracy. They're being held on $100,000 cash bond.

RV and tent camping at The Firefly Music was encouraged by event organizers as "the ultimate way to ensure an unforgettable Firefly weekend experience."

The festival — which featured an array of popular acts including Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse and Paul McCartney — wrapped up Sunday at The Woodlands of Dover International Speedway, in Dover, Delaware.
