Quicken Loans Named Best Place To Work in IT By Computerworld

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) - Quicken Loans has secured the top spot in Computerworld's '100 Best Places to Work in IT' list among large organizations for the third consecutive year.

This is the sixth time in 11 years Quicken has been named No. 1 in the benchmark employee survey.

"When you're able to attract the smartest minds in technology from diverse backgrounds and let them innovate in the right environment, you get a team with great chemistry that is dedicated to positively impacting the outcome of our company," said Bill Emerson, Quicken Loans Chief Executive Officer, in a release. "Our technology team is a major reason why our mortgage origination process is the best in the industry."

Computerworld compiles its '100 Best Places to Work in IT' from a comprehensive questionnaire about the company's offerings including benefits, career development, training and retention. Computerworld also conducts extensive surveys of IT professionals.

Quicken's 1,300 member technology team has quadrupled in size since the company moved its headquarters to Detroit in 2010, the company stated.
