Spectacles on Grand River near Paradise Valley Park, also known as Harmony Park, has been in the 230 Grand River building for 31 years, in fact, it will celebrate its anniversary July 14 reports WWJ Newsradio 950's Stephanie Davis.

Owner, Zena Smith, though is preparing to move after getting word that the building had been sold.

"So, I've just been looking at a lot of different spaces in hopes of remaining downtown," said Smith. "We don't know who the new owner is yet so I'm hoping to meet the new owner ... we would love to remain in downtown Detroit."

Spectacles, a boutique with men's and women's wear, books and rare local music is housed in a space under 300-square feet space off the street. Smith who hasn't heard from the new owner says she's optimistic about what's next.

"I love my city, and to be in a position where people want me to be around - it feels really warm," she said.
