Today I am going with the hot hand and in this case the hot left hand of Francisco Liriano. He and the Pirates host the Washington Nationals and former Tiger Doug Fister.

The Pirates have won Liriano’s last four starts. He has given up just six runs in those four games. The Nats meanwhile have lost four of Fisters five starts since he returned from the Disabled List in mid June.

One thing to keep an eye on is that Liriano is 1-2 when starting against Washington with an ERA that is almost 4.50.
