3 Identified, 2 Arrested, 4 At Large In Detroit Gang Rape

DETROIT (WWJ) - Three suspects have been identified and two are behind bars as four remain at large in connection with a gang rape in Detroit.

Antoine Edward-Ikie Orr, 18, and Jordan Alexander Reese, 17, were both arrested last week after they were identified by the alleged victims — a young couple attacked in the area of West McNichols and Birwood Street,  just blocks away from Marygrove College.

According to police, the 22-year-old man and his 21-year-old girlfriend were walking, at around 10 p.m. on July 16, when they were approached by a group of six men. The men reportedly forced the couple behind a nearby business where they were robbed and stripped of their clothes.

Members of the group took turns sexually assaulting the woman, police said, and when the attack was over, the nude victims ran to a liquor store for help.

The disturbing attack was similar, police said, to another later that same night in area of McNichols and Pierson Street — not far from the new Meijer store — and investigators believe the two crimes may be connected. [See suspect sketches, HERE].

Reese and Orr have been arraigned on charged of criminal sexual conduct and are being held on $250,000 cash bonds.

A third suspect, 22-year-old Chico Lee Bruce, is still being sought in connection with the crime. The remaining three suspect have not yet been identified.

Anyone who has seen Bruce, knows of his whereabouts or who has any information about this case is asked to call Detroit police at 31-3596-1950 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at 1-800-SPEAK UP
