BIRCH RUN (WWJ/AP) – Real estate developer and former reality TV star Donald Trump is making his first appearance in Michigan as a presidential candidate.

Trump will speak on Tuesday night at a Republican fundraising dinner in Birch Run, north of Flint.

The billionaire leads recent polls over 16 candidates despite another firestorm over controversial comments, this time about women. Trump and Fox News have been in a feud since last week’s first presidential debate.

He lashed out against moderator Megyn Kelly for her questions and said “there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”

The $25-per-person Lincoln Day event is being hosted by the Genesee and Saginaw county Republican parties at the Birch Run Expo Center.
