Wanted: Man Stealing TVs From Senior Apartments

WESTLAND (WWJ) - The cops are looking for help to catch a crook who's been stealing televisions from senior apartment complexes.

Westland police say the man, who has been seen on surveillance video, took at least seven TVs from buildings at the Greenwood Villa, Westgate Tower, and Our Savior's Manor complexes over the past five months.

All of the thefts take place early in the morning. In one case, the man stole an 80-inch TV. In another, the man saw the televisions were anchored to the wall with cables, so he came back with bolt cutters. In the latter case, he ended up tearing out the drywall in the process of removing two units.

Each of the incidents took place between March and July of this year.

The same suspect, who may be driving a white vehicle, is also wanted in Harper Woods for a similar incident, according to police.

Police have not provided a description of the man.
