After years of relatively unrecognized success, University of Michigan men basketball coach John Beilein has been acknowledged by his peers.

CBS Sports polled a group of the nation's college basketball coaches, of which 16.9 percent voted Beilein the country's top offensive mind. Davidson's Bob McKillop came in second place and Wisconsin's Bo Ryan was third.

The Wolverines ranked in the top 25 of Division I programs in 2014 with a .481 field goal percentage, while shooting .398 from behind the 3-point line -- good enough for 7th in the country.

Beilein coached Nik Stauskas to a Big Ten Player of the Year Award and Trey Burke to an AP National Player of the Year Award.

Beilein took over the helm for the Wolverines in 2007 fresh off an NIT Championship with West Virginia. Since then, Michigan has won two Big Ten regular season championships (2012, 2014) and played in one National Championship Game (2013).
