Center Line Mayor David Hanselman Dies At Age 72

CENTER LINE (WWJ) -- A fixture of the Center Line government for nearly three decades passed away this weekend.

David Hanselman has lost his battle with cancer at the age of 72 on Saturday morning. Hanselman was a resident of Center Line for more than 60 years, was graduate of Center Line High School and owned Royal Oak Tire for more than 25 years.

Hanselman served as mayor for the last six years and the city as a whole for more than 22 years.

A viewing will be held Thursday and Friday at Ford Funeral Home, with funeral services at Woodside Bible Church on Saturday.
