After you break up, getting rid of an ex’s stuff around your place is usually a priority. For a local Batman fanatic it’s a significant loss — we’re not talking about after shave and old CDs — his “Batmobile” is on the market.
The matte black Dodge Nitro with Batman-themed accessories has been posted for sale on Craigslist for $18,000.
The anonymous poster allegedly caught her boyfriend cheating and is looking to liquidate the asset. She told me the SUV is in her name, so she feels assured she can legally sell it.
A sign taped to the vehicle in a photo submitted to CBS Detroit sends a pretty clear message to her former beau. It reads, “When you are a liar and a cheater and an abuser and you have your side chick pay to trick out, customize and paint your “Batmobile” your girlfriend (ex) who worked her ass off to get you that vehicle has it “re-poed!! Bye ‘Batman’.
The Craigslist description reads,
Tricked out Nitro, Batman style. Matte black paint job, Batman silver logos, decals. When you open the driver and passenger door, a batman logo shines down on the ground. I do have seat covers too that I did not have patience to put on. Bluetooth hooked up so you can talk hands free on the phone. Brand new radio touch screen that can play CD’s, Pandora and even movies.
If you are a Batman freak, this is the Batmobile for you.
It is in my name, but I got it for my ex, who turned around and got all the extras paid for by his side chick. I need to sell this Nitro, I cannot afford to keep it, nor do I want to look at it anymore.
The seller admits that the asking price is high. Kelly Blue Book lists a vehicle of this vintage in excellent condition at $10,842.
