Tigers Parking Advisory, Tuesday, September 8

Due to the anticipated heavy volume of patrons in downtown Detroit with the AC/DC concert taking place at Ford Field on Tuesday, September 8, Olympia Development Parking Services is holding all the lots it controls east of Woodward Avenue for guests attending the 7:08 p.m. Tigers game. Guests must show a ticket, parking pass, or have tickets at Will Call to the Tigers game to park in these lots.

Tailgating will also be prohibited to ensure there is ample parking. All parking lots located west of Woodward Avenue that are operated by Olympia Development will be available on a first come first serve basis to both Tigers fans and Ford Field patrons. Please plan accordingly as traffic in the area will be significantly higher than normal. Please note, gates for the Tigers game open at 5:30 p.m., while doors open for the concert at Ford Field at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30 p.m.

In addition there will be lane closures on Woodward Avenue due to construction of the M-1 Rail project. It is recommended that guests utilize the various shuttles that many local bars, restaurants and casinos offer.
