Elderly Man Struck, Killed By SUV While Walking His Dog

WATERFORD (WWJ) -- An elderly man walking his dog in Waterford died after being hit by an SUV on Monday morning.

Waterford Police and Fire officials responded to the Fox Run Condominiums near Elizabeth Lake and Hospital roads just before 10 a.m. where a 38-year-old man driving a Cadillac hit 86-year-old Harold Poduska.

The driver was not injured and the victim's dog was also not injured. However, Poduska was taken to a hospital where he later died.

Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol are a factor in the accident.

An investigation is ongoing.
